Choosing Schools Discussion- January 30, 2007, 7-9pm

January 15, 2007 by Thomas Schmeling

Passing this on from ESPEC steering committee member Jill Davidson:

Choosing Schools Discussion
January 30, 2007, 7-9pm

Families with school age children looking at Providence area
schools: are you trying to find the school that will help your
children learn, grow, and thrive?

We invite you to join our gathering of friends and neighbors to
learn more from each other about local schools, particularly
public/charter schools.

We welcome families who are looking at elementary and middle schools
and families with children already in school who would like others
to learn more about your school community.

We will be sharing information about a variety of schools (we hope
to have parents from MLK, Gregorian, Varieur, ICS, Paul Cuffee,
Henry Barnard, Nathanael Greene, Community Prep, and more)
to help answer each others’ questions.

We will also be sharing information on how to interpret publicly
available educational data, including test scores and school
performance classifications.

If you would like to join us, please RSVP to Jill Davidson at
jill.davidson@gmail.com.
